Whitney Patterson, Chief Financial Officer
Whitney R. Patterson, CPA, CHFP, joined the HCHI team as Controller in August 2017. Prior to coming to HCHI, Whitney was the Chief Financial Officer at Fairmont Regional Medical Center, where she guided the hospital through their 2013 bankruptcy filing and subsequent sale to Alecto Healthcare Services. She had a public accounting background prior to her employment with FRMC, where she performed audits and due diligence consulting procedures of various healthcare companies. Whitney graduated from West Virginia University with an undergraduate degree in accounting and a graduate certificate in forensic accounting and fraud investigation. She holds both a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) designation. Whitney is actively involved in numerous professional and charitable organizations, such as the WV Healthcare Financial Management Association and the Roosevelt-Wilson, Washington Irving, Kelly Miller, Robert C. Byrd Alumni Foundation. Whitney and her husband David have three children, Audrey, Beau, and Quinn.
Dr. Toni Goodykoontz, Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Toni Goodykoontz has served as an attending Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist since Highland-Clarksburg Hospital’s opening in August, 2013, admitting the first patient. She assumed the position of Chief Medical Officer in July 2018 and is now managing the physicians and physician extenders providing care to Highland-Clarksburg Hospital’s patients. Originally from Bluefield, she is a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College with a degree in Political Science and Economics. She completed pre-medical courses and a law degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. After moving back to WV she completed her medical degree at WVU School of Medicine. Her internship and residency training were completed with the Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry at WVU Hospitals, Morgantown. Dr. Goodykoontz currently holds an academic appointment as Assistant Professor in the Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry in the School of Medicine at WVU. She holds a clinical appointment as Section Chief of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the attending Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at Chestnut Ridge Center for WVU Medicine. As part of WVU Medicine’s outreach programs, Dr. Goodykoontz serves as a consulting child psychiatrist for Cabin Creek Health Systems in Kanawha County and a provider of psychiatric services for the Barbour County Health Department. Dr. Goodykoontz, is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is an active member in the Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Julie Bozarth, Chief Nursing Officer
Julie Bozarth, a Clarksburg native, received her Master of Arts degree in Counseling, with a specialization in Addictions Counseling from Waynesburg University. She holds a B.S. in Nursing and a B.S. in Psychology from Fairmont State University. Julie worked at the WV Industrial Home for Youth as a Clinical Therapist serving at risk youth. She went on to serve as the Psychiatric Registered Nurse for PSIMED Corrections, coordinating psychiatric care for the residents of the WV Division of Juvenile Services. She has worked at Highland-Clarksburg Hospital since 2016, becoming the Chief Nursing Officer at Highland-Clarksburg Hospital in 2018. As the CNO, she oversees the clinical departments providing direct patient care to psychiatric patients. Julie is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse, and is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Her areas of particular interest are working with at-risk youth, trauma therapy, mindfulness, and addiction.

Gary Longwell, Director of Facilities
Gary Longwell began his career with HCHI as Director of Facilities in June of 2017. Prior to his start at Highland, he worked as a plumber for 10 years, then at Mylan Pharmaseuticals for 9.5 years, where he was a lab technician and repaired lab equipment.
Gary graduated from Hundred High School and went on to attend attended West Virginia University, where he was able to obtain the experience needed to further his career in facilities management.
Gary Currently resides in Buckhannon, WV and likes to spend his free time doing outdoor activities, such as hunting and fishing.
